Step 1. Prepare any basis for the manufacture of the dial. It can be anything: wood, plate, vinyl record, cardboard, polyurethane foam outlet or even an old colander. The main thing is that the workpiece fits in size to the hands of the clock mechanism and it was possible to drill a hole in it for fastening it.

Step 2. We mark the center of the dial and make a hole in it with the help of a drill / screwdriver (at low revs, so as not to damage the workpiece) or sewed. The diameter of the drill should match the diameter of the screw in the clockwork.

Step 3. If the material requires processing and decoration, then this should be done before installing the mechanism. As soon as the dial background is ready and dried, you will need to draw divisions or numbers on it (best of all with a stencil, so that you can do it carefully). However, if you wish, you can do without them. At the end of drawing the entire dial should be covered with a matte acrylic water-based varnish in 2 layers. Then the whole decor will become more durable and tolerant to wet cleaning.

Step 4. Now it is time to install the clock mechanism (you can buy it separately or remove it from the old / cheap watch). To do this, we separate the mechanism from the second, minute and hour hand and insert it into the prepared hole from the wrong side of the dial. Then on the face of the watch we put on the screw nuts, hour, minute and last of all the second hand (if there is one).

Step 5. Hooray! The clock for the kitchen is ready, it remains only to twist the arrows to make sure that nothing interferes with their rotation, insert the battery and hang the product on the wall.
